How to get your CIPS Level 5 Qualification
The CIPS level 5 Diploma provides senior buyers, contract and supply chain managers with the expertise to improve organisational procurement and to fulfil organisational objectives.
It also gives you the knowledge base to reduce cost, improve quality and time scales, manage the supply chain and deal with legal issues.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at those working in, or looking to progress to; buyer, procurement / purchasing executive, procurement specialist, contract officer, supply chain / inventory / logistics analyst, supply chain / inventory / logistics planner.
Entry requirements
You will need to have achieved the CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply level 4.
What are the main learning outcomes?
Provision of advice and guidance to key stakeholders on the performance of organisational procedures and processes in procurement and supply.
Three core modules must be completed
Management in procurement and supply
Managing risks in supply chains
Improving the competitiveness of supply chains
Two elective modules make up the final required credits
Category management in procurement and supply
Sustainability in supply chains
Operations management in supply chains
What will this qualification enable me to go onto?
This qualification provides progression to the CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply. You will also be awarded Associate Member status.
Please note: This qualification is currently being reviewed and an updated syllabus will be available by the end of January 2019. The last opportunity to take an exam on this syllabus will be in May 2019, there will be no resit opportunities. Your first opportunity to take an exam on the updated syllabus will be in July 2019.
