How to get your CIPS Level 6 Qualification
The CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply is the third and final diploma in the CIPS learning ladder of qualifications. It is targeted at building strategic direction and advice, in areas such as change management, stakeholder management and team leadership.
This will also draw you closer to achieving the prestigious MCIPS status; a title that can benefit both your professional reputation and your salary. On successful completion of Levels 4, 5 and 6 you may apply for full membership of CIPS and use the designatory letters MCIPS after your name.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at senior procurement professionals and heads of department.
Entry requirements
You will need to have achieved the CIPS Advanced diploma in procurement and supply.
What are the main learning outcomes?
You will have the ability to formulate direction and advice; change management; leading and influencing both internal and external stakeholders in procurement and supply and the management of teams and individuals.
Three core modules must be completed
Leadership in procurement and supply
Corporate and business strategy
Strategic supply chain management
Two elective modules make up the final required credits
Supply chain diligence
Programme and project management
Legal aspects in procurement and supply (UK)
What will this qualification enable me to go onto?
On successful completion of the Diploma, Advanced and Professional diplomas along with three years’ experience in a position of responsibility in procurement and supply you can apply to upgrade to MCIPS.
This qualification is currently being reviewed and an updated syllabus will be available by the end of January 2019. The last opportunity to take an exam on this syllabus will be in May 2019, there will be no resit opportunities. Your first opportunity to take an exam on the updated syllabus will be in July 2019.
